High net worth companies, partnerships, associations or trusts

This includes the investment personnel of any of these types or organisations who possess professional experience of investing in unregulated collective investment schemes. In most circumstances high net worth requires net assets of more than £5 million.

Sophisticated investors

This is anyone who has a current certificate in writing signed by an authorised person confirming that s/he is sufficiently knowledgeable to understand the risks associated with participating in unregulated collective investment schemes and who has signed, within the last 12 months a statement in the terms prescribed by the relevant regulations.
